Members of Lyric Faculty mentor those students who commit wholeheartedly to this highly demanding and challenging study. This includes dynamic studio training, industry/career guidance and private coaching. Mentors help actors to incorporate study into their growth as a film, television and/or stage actor. Actors are eligible for this mentorship process at the discretion of the artistic director and faculty and is solely incumbent on the level and dedication of the actor's work over at least one year in the studio. Lyric sessions are taught by a diverse group of qualified mentors, all of whom have several years of teaching and acting experience, all with individual styles and methodology. And although teaching styles and techniques vary, all Lyric mentors are passionate about guiding actors in developing the most honest, committed, and professional work in and outside the studio rooms. The program also utilizes the acquired knowledge of our advisory board, contributors, and guest mentors. We maintain a direct connection to the film, television and theatre industries and are joined by its leading casting directors, producers, agents, writers and directors to witness the work in progress and to exchange ideas and experience. The environment established by Lyric mentors is one of professional collaboration, and it is expected that both actors and mentors will adhere to this code. Actors are accepted to study, or are dismissed, solely at the discretion of the artistic director or faculty. |
